A customer can sign up to a membership subscription that means they can join a set number of classes per week. There might be different membership price points, for a different number of classes per week, and each membership might be linked only to specific classes.
The business owner would set the number of classes per week that the membership subscription would permit, and the customer's account would be 'credited' with that number of sessions.
The customer with a membership could then login whenever they want to put their name down for a specific class (capacity and class-link permitting), and that would use up 1 weekly credit.
For example, a gym might offer various fitness classes through the week:
* Membership Option 1 which costs £50 p/m allows the customer to attend 2 classes per week, excluding holiday classes
* Membership Option 2 which costs £80 p/m allows the customer to attend 4 classes per week, excluding holiday classes
* Membership Option 3 which costs £120 p/m allows the customer to attend unlimited classes per week, including holiday classes
The customer with a membership subscription could then login and book a place for free on any class that was linked to that membership option, as long as capacity allowed the booking, and they hadn't gone over their membership 'credits'.
The Class Pass would work in a very similar way but it would be a one off payment for a fixed number of 'credits'. The other key difference would be that an expiry date would be required, so the credits would need to be used by the deadline.
This 'Class Pass' functionality could also be used for a 'Gift Voucher' scenario.
A basket would help the customer to 'use' their class pass or membership subscription more easily.
